WHAT? AWESOME.

We are on track to have our best month ever. This is awesome. I'm so happy!! You guys are my favorite.

New Indexer! Diana Sego is off and running with no coaching from the audience.

Amy G reached 25,000 names indexed! Can you believe it? She gets embarrassed when I highlight her, but she is amazing. She has so much going on in her life. If she can index, there isn't anyone who can't. Good job, Amy. You inspire us all.

I'm betting Robin B. will hit 10,000 by Sunday. She's almost done 3,000 THIS WEEK. Wow. Christine W is 21 names from 5,000. I love us.

Our ward indexed 2000 names today!

Even without treats. You guys are the best. Wow, Dale, 500 in one day is many. The Spirit of Elijah is with our ward, don't you think? How cool is it that we are helping to fulfill scripture? The church is true! I love indexing and I love you guys.

News From HQ

From FamilySearch:

September 14, 2010: Thank You

Sunday and Monday were our best indexing days this year. We indexed a combined total of 2 million records. Additionally, we arbitrated almost 1 million records. Great work, everyone! From the 455 people who submitted their first batches on Sunday, to the 182 people who indexed over 1,000 records each, to the 14,150 other wonderful individuals who contributed,it's amazing what we can accomplish together in behalf of researchers around the world. Thank you!

107 Day until 2011

That means we must do roughly 724 names a day to meet our goal.

Today

I'll try to keep you guys informed so that I don't feel like I'm cheating by knowing the numbers. What I know - you know.

YW: 1788+ 852 arbitrated= 2640
Primary: 2520

A little birdie told me the Gladdens will have lots of time to index in the upcoming weeks - so... you know. Abbie and Amy are both YW.

Total as of today:
121,541 + 1052 arb.

SHUT UP!

Anyone who knows me knows that if I ever have twins, their names will be King Friday and Lady Elaine (from Mr. Rogers' neighborhood). SO you can see why this hit me so funny:Indexing cracks me up.

Sunday Totals

Seriously, people - I am so proud of you. I say the word and you all start indexing like crazy. Christine W. is now number 8 on our top ten! I guess, really number seven, but I can't bring myself to take Krista M. off our list. She's still internetly in our ward until FamilySearch says otherwise.

Have you thought of a personal goal for the end of the year? I'd like to see 20,000 but that seems really hard. I can do hard things.

My sister wanted my other sister to make her an "I Can Do Hard Things" vinyl lettering thing and when it came it said,"Doing Things is Hard". That made me laugh much.

As of right now, we have 118,695 indexed and 2569 arbitrated. Go us!

Auxiliary September Totals (so far):
Primary: 1817
YW: 1025
RS: 960
Priesthood: 250

Wow!

Grand Total: 117,365 + 2539 arbitrated

The Young Women challenged the Relief Society for the month of September to see who could do the most names. Little did we know that the PRIMARY would be beating us all!! What? Awesome. Better luck next week, Brethren.

PRIMARY: 1507

Priesthood: 250

Top September Indexers:

200 Carol Burkhalter (NEW INDEXER!! ANOTHER WAHOO!!)
200 Ray Fearing (+50 arbitrated)
185 Katelyn Meldrom
150 Shelby Stroud (+10 arbitrated)
102 Jane Hair
100 Lindsey Gladden

0 Amy Gladden (+414 arbitrated)

Not only is our goal 200,000 by Dec 31, 2010; FamilySearch has a goal of 200 million names in 2010. They want to make September their most productive month ever, but to do so they would need us to help complete 22 million records. Let's do it! I bet our ward can do 20 million names this month... or maybe 10,000?

Hello my precious indexers, I hope you all had a fabulous summer. Seems that most of us (myself included) took a nice break from indexing and we should all be refreshed and ready to go!

FYI, we have a total of 113,151 names done for our ward. To put that in perspective, the next best ward in our stake has 59,000. Way to go. Amy Gladden will likely see 25,000 names alone in the upcoming months.

Please make sure you have updated your account to the new LDS.ORG accounts by WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 1! Everyone who doesn't do it will lose the names they have done and have to start at zero AND will still have to get an LDS.ORG account. Better to do it before then and keep your names. If you hold a temple recommend, your membership record number should be on it. This is a document that goes thru the merging process step by step: http://beta.indexing.familysearch.org/beta/Upgrading-en.pdf

And most importantly for some, THERE WILL BE TREATS for people who index by next Sunday (Sept. 5). Any August or September batches will count. Tennessee is really easy right now - some are mostly filled out and you only have to fill in some blanks.

Please e-mail me if you have any questions or if there is some way I can help. If you have forgotten your username and password, I can tell you with that also. Help me help you. Also, if anyone has any ideas for prizes or treats that you would like - lemme know.

Let's do 200,000 names by DECEMBER 31, 2010!!!

THANK YOU!
